You’ll start at Moonlight Beach then head north along the crashing surf on the hard-packed sand; finish line at Moonlight Beach.

Largest Beach Run/Walk in the Country!
- Beautiful Low Tide waters edge course on the hard pack sand
In 2018 WE set the WORLD RECORD for the
“largest beach race in the world”!
The Surfing Madonna Beach Run is located in the heart of Encinitas, on the beautiful sands of World Famous Moonlight Beach. The course curves along the waters’ edge along the most scenic beaches in
North County San Diego.
Named Top 5 “Best 5K/10K/15K” in the country by Competitor Magazine in 2015.
DISTANCES: 1K, 5K, 10K at low tide
**Please note, the 12K & Challenger Series will open up in early July, if the sand comes back to Swami’s Beach (south end of the 12K course).
If the 12K course is deemed too dangerous, the Challenger Series will be the 10K and the 2020 Encinitas Half Marathon.
