About Us

Beam Orthodontics is a lifelong dream transformed to reality. Dr. Schaefer has wanted his own private orthodontics office for years, a place where people of all ages can visit to reap the benefits of quality orthodontics. We live local, so while building Beam we sought locals to help us. One such person was Mike Nelson of Leucadia and owner of branding agency type g. Mike helped us create our brand and tell our story. Dr. Schaefer will be the only orthodontist you will ever see at Beam, but he went back and forth on naming the office after himself. He ultimately decided he wanted to name the office something fun, short, and sweet. He came up with Beam because he is committed to creating smiles for his patients that beam like a light. He also studied engineering in college, so the structural aspects of both beams and the mechanics of tooth movement appealed to him. We want our office to signify structure and alignment. The 32 dots around the logo represent the 32 teeth and the glow of a happy patient.
