DESCRIPTION:Encinitas' favorite holiday tradition. Put it on your calendar. Nearly 100 parade entries will roll\, march\, cycle\, scoot and cruise down the Coast Highway on the most magical night of the year.\n\n\n\nThousands of people will be on floats and in bands with tens of thousands more cheering them on as the 2017 Encinitas Holiday Parade rolls along Coast Highway 101 on Saturday\, December 2nd.  At 5:00 pm there is the Tree Lighting ceremony with a brief appearance by Santa at the Lumberyard (near Starbucks coffee).  \n\n\n\nThe parade begins at 5:30 PM\, and ends about 7:30 pm.\n\nParking Shuttles - don't stress over finding a parking space downtown\, take advantage of our FREE parking shuttles that run from Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas off of Santa Fe Drive (just look for the signs pointing you there) or from the YMCA/Ecke Sports Park parking lot on Saxony Road. Both shuttles start running at 4pm and go until 8:30pm. The ADA accessible bus runs from the Scripps location. Shuttles run approximately every 20 minutes and will drop you off at the NCTD bus station on Vulcan Avenue\, just a half block from the Parade route.
