Description
Learn more about the town's hidden historic treasures. The Encinitas Historical Society will host a docent-led walking tour of Old Encinitas. Meet at the 1883 Schoolhouse at 10:00am (90 min) at 390 West F Street.
Come join the Encinitas Historical Society for a FREE walking tour of Historic Encinitas! The tour will provide participants with interesting facts regarding how Encinitas became founded, the history of the Boathouses and how Encinitas came to be known as the "Flower Capitol".
They will also learn why early settlers came to town in the 1880's and hear the background about buildings that were built in the 1920's by Encinitas’ first “recycler,” Miles Kellogg. The most photographed buildings in Encinitas are also a stop on the tour. The tour finishes around noon.
